Years as a Sports Physiotherapist & Program Director

About Saumya

I've spent 15 years learning what makes a body resilient

As a Sports Physiotherapist and Program Director, I spent over a decade designing sports curriculum programs that build physical literacy in children teaching young bodies how to move well, early.

Somewhere along the way, I realised the women around me capable, accomplished women in their 40s and beyond were being told the opposite of what I knew to be true. That they should slow down. Rest more. Expect less from their bodies.

I started this practice to challenge that. Holistic Wellness for Women 40+ exists because I believe muscle isn't vanity it's your organ of longevity: the thing that keeps you strong, mobile, metabolically healthy, and independent for decades to come.

40s

Foundation decade

Muscle loss begins quietly. This is the best decade to start strength training building reserves for everything ahead.

Muscle isn't about how you look. It's about how long you live well.

Every decade brings a different relationship with your body. Here's how the right kind of strength carries you through each one.

"Strength isn't something you lose with age. It's something you stop investing in. My work is helping women start investing again."

Hormonal transition

Perimenopause and menopause reshape metabolism and bone density. Strength training becomes non-negotiable, not optional.

Common Questions

Everything you might be wondering

  • Not at all — it's never too late. Research consistently shows women starting strength training in their 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond see significant gains in muscle, bone density and balance. Every program starts with where your body is today.

  • No. Many of my programs are designed for home, using minimal or no equipment. If you do have gym access, we can incorporate that too — but it's never a requirement to get started.

  • Yes — this is actually one of my core specialities. As a Sports Physiotherapist, I design corrective and pain-conscious programs that work around your current limitations while addressing their root cause.

  • My background is in clinical physiotherapy and program design, not generic fitness training. Every plan considers your hormonal stage, joint health, bone density and lifestyle — not just sets and reps.

  • Saumya personally reviews your submission and reaches out within 24 hours to schedule a 20-minute call. From there, you'll receive a personalised plan based on your goals and current body assessment.
